Half-shell PYROCOMB® Intube from OBO allows fire protection for previously routed cables
As an expert in the field of fire protection in electrical installations, OBO Bettermann has countess innovations on offer this year. This includes an additional variant of the PYROCOMB® Intube insulation system. This is particularly suitable for the insulation of already routed cables.
The new CTS-HP200 variant is a half shell, which is used particularly in underfloor installations. Its mounting couldn't be simpler. The half shell is laid around the cables and then positioned in the insulation surface on the floor using adhesive tape. Here, a 100% assignment of the interior is permitted.
Only one foam plug is necessary for single-sided closing of the half shell. Its surface is then sealed with the ASX fire protection coating. This allows processing from one side. In case of a fire, the inner coating of the PYROCOMB® Intube system expands and, in so doing, closes the half shell completely. In this way, the transfer of fire and smoke is safely prevented.
