Solutions for the nacelle of wind power plants
The nacelle is located in the tower of the wind power plant. The two components are connected via a rotating joint. The rotor, consisting of the hub and individual rotor blades, is located at the front of the nacelle. The nacelle transfers the loads resulting from the rotor and all installed components to the foundation via the tower.
The wind turbine nacelle is often referred to as the powerhouse, as it is the core of the wind power plant. Inside are some of the most important components of the plant, such as the generator for producing electricity. However, the highest vibrations and oscillations occur in the area of the nacelle and the tower head. This means that the installation systems installed there are also subject to special requirements. OBO offers the maximum safety in this area with protection solutions for the wind turbine nacelle.
